Meeting Spot

Good news. We’re moving the film back to Cypress Bowl Rd. Their resurfacing project is progressing well and the conditions at the moment are safe. We will conduct further in-person surveys prior to the shoot to double confirm the roads are safe enough prior to shooting. (We’ve already seen several riders enjoying the new pavement)

Address- 3812 Uplands Wy PARK, West Vancouver, BC V7S 0B7

8:30am Sign in/Mic up/Briefing.

9:00am Filming Starts

Bike Camera Mounting

  • We will be strapping small cameras with mics
  • We won’t be attaching to fairings or body panels to avoid damage. Instead we will be attaching to rails, passenger footpegs and possibly marker lights
  • Gaffer tape will be used to prevent damage, prevent slipping. It won’t leave sticky residue.

Static / Mechanical Shots

  • Bike ignition / Exhaust shakes
  • Throttle hand / gauge cluster
  • Hoping on bike / Suspension compression
  • Glove on / Suiting up / Kickstand up
  • etc… (few examples shown below)

Tracking / Moving Shots

  • While riding all riders should be in a tucked or semi tucked stance (Red or Blue Rider, not Purple shown below)
  • Posted speeds top out at 60km/h. We will start at 50km/h for choreographed safety and assess skill/comfort to go faster.
  • These crude animations will be shown, discussed and assigned at staging areas prior to execution.

Below are a series of simplistic animations depicting choreographed formations. No need to memorize, we will play them on the day of the shoot at the staging area.

Skits

There will be a handful of very short scenes of riders expressing celebration or disappointment via body langauge. No voice acting required and fully helmed, so don’t worry about bad acting. These are intended to be short, over the top and campy.
